Marlene Merriam Tobin joined Stackpole & French Law Offices in May 2019 as a Legal Assistant, primarily working at the Jeffersonville office supporting the firm’s litigation attorneys with a wide range of legal and administrative tasks as well as assisting with client billing and general office support.

In June 2020, Marlene transitioned from litigation to primarily working on probate administration matters. Marlene is involved in every aspect of probate administration, from the initial meeting with clients and information gathering to the final distribution of property to beneficiaries and closing of the estate. Marlene works closely with clients to facilitate a timely and efficient probate administration and is always willing to assist clients in navigating simple or complex estates.

Marlene is a life-long resident of Lamoille County. She has a background in banking finance and loans, bookkeeping and payroll, office management, and the hospitality industry. After leaving a full-time position of many years at the Lamoille Chamber of Commerce, she has remained on in a part-time capacity processing payroll, bookkeeping, and consulting with the Board of Directors.
