Ashley O’Kane
Paralegal
Ashley O’Kane joined Stackpole & French Law Offices in October of 2021 and works primarily out of the Shelburne office. Ashley works closely with our clients and attorneys on various estate planning, real estate, and litigation matters. She provides assistance with many estate planning tasks including preparing portfolios, maintaining files, and drafting documents including Durable Power of Attorneys, Healthcare Directives, and Wills. Ashley also assists with many aspects of real estate and timeshare transactions including obtaining tax information, preparing Property Transfer Tax Returns, drafting Warranty Deeds, and assisting with Deed into Trust files. In addition, Ashley supports our litigation team with various tasks including preparing and filing court documents, managing hearing schedules, and working closely with clients, courts, and attorneys to ensure filing deadlines are met.
Ashley has experience in the financial industry where she supervised a teller line and ensured all security procedures and compliance requirements were met. Previously, she held an internship at the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office where she completed clerical work for attorneys and aided with courtroom preparation.
Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and graduated from Champlain College in May of 2019. Through her time at Champlain, she gained extensive knowledge in civil procedure and criminal law which has enabled her to help support different departments at the firm.
Ashley grew up in Colchester, Vermont, and enjoys boating on Lake Champlain. Ashley’s organization and communication skills are valuable assets to both our clients and her co-workers at Stackpole & French.
