Ashley O’Kane

Ashley O’Kane joined Stackpole & French Law Offices in October of 2021 as a Legal Assistant in the Shelburne office. Ashley works closely with our clients, attorneys, real estate agents, and town clerks and assists with many aspects of real estate transactions including obtaining tax information, preparing Property Transfer Tax Returns, drafting Deeds into Trusts, and Warranty Deeds, maintaining files, coordinating closings and other legal tasks.

Ashley has experience in the financial industry where she supervised a teller line and ensured all security procedures and compliance requirements were met. Previously, she held an internship at the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office where she completed clerical work for attorneys and aided with courtroom preparation.

Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and graduated from Champlain College in May of 2019. Through her time at Champlain, she gained extensive knowledge in civil procedure and criminal law which has enabled her to help support different departments at the firm.

Ashley grew up in Colchester, Vermont, and enjoys boating on Lake Champlain. Ashley’s organization and communication skills are valuable assets to both our clients and her co-workers at Stackpole & French.
