Britney Aube joined Stackpole & French Law Offices in June of 2022 as a Real Estate Paralegal in the Shelburne office. Britney’s diverse skill set allows her to work across several practice areas at Stackpole & French, including residential real estate, commercial real estate, estate planning, land use and permitting projects and disputes, and civil litigation. In August of 2024, Britney was accepted into the Law Office Study Program formally becoming the Stackpole & French Law Clerk. Britney will continue to Clerk under firm partner, Edward B. French, Jr., until she is eligible to sit for the Vermont Bar.

Prior to joining Stackpole & French, Britney worked as the Zoning Administrator in the Town of Shelburne and as the City Clerk of Vergennes. She also served as a Permit Specialist for a local civil engineering firm and has extensive experience in local, state, and federal land use permitting for both commercial and residential projects. Britney has many skills, but permitting and land use planning are her specialties. Whether it is Act 250 or the local Development Review Board, Britney has the knowledge and fortitude to navigate complex projects and land disputes. Britney has also played a valuable role in supporting the firm’s attorneys and clients through several Environmental Court appeals.

Britney graduated from Champlain College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and was the recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for graduating as the top-ranking student in the Legal Studies Program. She is proud to be a first-generation college graduate and fifth-generation Vermonter.

Outside of the office, Britney is a mother of four, an avid gardener, and an all-around outdoor enthusiast.
